Not expecting to see my ma anytime soon & as for DH well........................
I am lucky in some ways I have my wee FB buddy.
The same person & I have worked together each & every week since March.
Of course never ever did we think it would last for this long.
So I am standing down as a office bearer but will continue as a trustee & with the day to day stuff.

I have finally used the 'new' slow cooker today.
A wee concoction with mince, tinned tomatoes, butter beans & courgette.
Will see what it turns out like!I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. It's a morbid subject but I would be happy with a cardboard coffin if it's just going to get burned. You can get them customised with pictures on to suit the deceased. When I thought I was going to lose Mr SA I was thinking about getting him a Costa Coffee one 😆 I would have one with pictures of a beach. It all adds up I know from experience with my mum's funeral and I went quite basic on that as she would've hated me spending loads on it but she wanted to be buried and there was the added expense of burial plot and headstone.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I’d be happy with a cardboard box too. We keep saying we need to sort something out but haven’t done anything about it....the only thing we’ve done is say we only want a small bunch of flowers and told the kids which charity we want instead of flowers. Funerals are certainly expensive 😳😳 My mil sorted and prepaid for hers thinking she’d left everything in order to make things easy......it’s a good job she never knew what transpired 😡😡
Mmmmm I have already replied so apologies if this turns up twice or on another thread 🤔🤔🤭🤭
Hang on in there Beanie 👍January spends - £587.585 -

Such sad news beanie. Hopefully that will be the last shock.Look after yourself you've had a rotten time recently. How did your slow cooker concoction go? Make sure you do eat and try to rest when you can. Give yourself time to heal before take yourself in hand. There's time to do that when you've given yourself a wee break.Just waiting for the next episode of Staged and there'll be another one tomorrow.love pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.5 -
Just be kind to yourself Beanie. Try and be as kind to yourself as you are to others.
I liked being a Trustee. You get to be involved and be listened to, your life experience becomes very valuable, but you don't have to put the hard slog in. I was a trustee for about 6 years. It made me feel useful and needed and I got a lot of support from the other trustees. We put my mum's ashes in a bunker at Saltburn Golf Course. Despite her getting a hole in one, they won't let put the ashes in the hole. So we just have to make sure at the time that we put my dad in the same bunker, it would be a tragedy to get the wrong one!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

Very sorry to read your post of last night, beanie
And you're right, eating better is important - it will help with mood as well as physical health.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
Eating better is definitely the way to go Beanie. Even if you just cut down a little on treats rather than cutting them out altogether.....we all need a treat to get us through atm. But make sure you get the good stuff too. It really does make a difference, I’ve noticed the difference in my health since I’ve started eating better again. I’m still having my treats - just not all day every day though - which is what I was doing 😱😂
I’m sorry there’s another person you know that has passed away. Hugs ❤️January spends - £587.584
