I thought you’d have to try boots on before trying them on. I think there’s been quite a few bargains on line but I also have to try them first 🙄
It’s so sad about your friend. I’m sorry that her dh said too much - try not to dwell on anything upsetting that he said. Like you say he was obviously very shocked and everything just spilled out. More hugs.

I'm another one with funny feet - a high instep and narrow heel does not make buying shoes easy! Plus my feet are fairly wide at the front so what fits my heel squashes my toes! 😱 I'm a delight. 😂

Oh beanie I don't drink alcohol. The toxic alcoholic ex left me unable to stand the smell decades ago. I'm so sorry you have lost a friend. All I can do is send a virtual socially distanced non hurtful hug.and hope things will get better soon.
I know you share my love of David Tennant. I watched the first series of Staged on BBC. If you haven't seen it he and Michael Sheen did a zoom thing from their own homes. I thought they were both brilliant in Good Omens and Staged was utterly hilarious. A second series started a couple of weeks ago. it.s only 15 mins long but worth watching.
Dd finally got the latest Rebus today. I forgot to order over the months of the different normal. So she's happily buried in that. I've warned her not to tell me how it ends. I'm hoping there will be another rebus but Ian Rankin isn't saying.
You're so kind and caring to so many so be kind to yourself too beanie or do you prefer to be called Lou?
Let's hope as the vaccines roll out the sun will shine agian . things will never be as they were but hopefully there are enough decent people to make a different kinder and fairer normal.
Give Miss Summer a gentle stroke for me and look after yourself. All being well you will be able to hug your son soon and I'll be able to hug my daughter.
    Remember This too shall pass.

    Hello

Yes, well remembered, I love DT.
Used to work with a relative of his before he was famous.
Ian Rankin says he has another Rebus in him so all is well with the world  :)
Finished Quintin Jardine's latest Skinner novel today.
    A very strange ending.
You take lots of care  :)   xxx

I remember us having a long discussion on DT, Rankin and Fife ages ago on Savvy Sewings thread. DT was always "My doctor" Good Omens is really worth watching if you didn't see it on TV. He and Michael Sheen work very well together. I'm a Pratchett fan anyway but it was utterly hilarious . The good angel and the bad angel were perfectly cast and I think terry would have loved it.
I do hope Ian does have another Rebus in him. Dd emailed me earlier to say she was starting the book. I know from the previous one Rebus wasn't in good health.so in a way I was hoping this book wouldn't end badly. Pratchett literally kept dd in the world when things were very tough because there was always the next book to look forward to, She took it very badly when Terry died but was relieved he was spared the long drawn out suffering ahead as his memory began to fail. She now remembers him with love and thanks .Rebus and the Pratchett books were always pre ordered and kept her going. i think she'll be more accepting when Rebus ends. He lived hard ,drank too much , smoked too much and ignored the doctors.
If you can find the first series of Staged on catch up it's worth watching that and then picking up on the present series. It's very lockdown . No more long coat and converse boots for our Dr Who. he had all sorts of filming lined up when lockdown started . His hair was full of weird extensions. for a role he was due to play. he and Georgia have 5 children at home and were trying to film each other and contacting Michael and Anna in Wales who had a newborn at home. With lockdown no one was allowed in their homes and trying to handle bored children , home schooling while filming for the BBC was both difficult and at times hilarious. Davids apppearance became increasingly scruffy, his hair kept changing for roles that kept being postponed.  Michael Sheens hair and beard just got bigger and bigger as time went on.
I'm really enjoying it 15 mins of laughs on a dark and dreich day. if you have Iplayer both series are streaming on there. I'm not at all techie but there will be a catch up option.
i was wondering if you'd managed to get the latest Skinner book after you mentioned it a while back. I'm still plodding through them between other books. There are a lot of them!
Look after yourself and i hope things improve and you can get out to try on boots. I'm lucky I tend to find the perfect ankle boots and buy more of the same in the sales for less than half price. I'm quite light on footwear. As a child in the 50s my dad had a cobblers last and used to mend our shoes. I get mine repaired if needed and have always found the now hard to get renovating polish really good on scuffs and scrapes. I've saved a lot over the years with price reductions and the occassional trip to the cobblers and the magic polish.
I seem to have written a mini book .
