Worms I could deal with, but mice and birds, definitely not. Wow how posh are you all having summer and winter duvets.
In summer I'm very generous and give hubby my share of the quilt, in winter I pinch it back plus a bit of his.
I'm helping out at the church foodbank tomorrow. It's a fairly new set up and apparently there have been some teething problems. They could probably do with you coming down and sorting them out by the sounds of it. I shall go and do what I've been asked, which is to pack some boxes and keep my own counsel lol. Hope you're keeping well. xx
Hope the foodbank goes well.

I'll let you know how it goes. One lady is super organised, the other very laid back. I suspect I've been drafted in as the go-between, being a bit of each depending on how the mood takes me.

Re Ms Summer's recent worm peccadillo - my DD told me that back in the summer she was having a socially distanced chat with her neighbour over said neighbour's garden wall. Neighbour has four cats one of whom strolled across the lawn with a dead vole in his mouth. He then sat down and devoured it in a couple of gulps!😱. DD said she was so appallingly fascinated she couldn't look away - her own feline princess doesn't do that sort of thing in public!🤣

We have had several juvenile rabbits through the cat flap when sister of stealth cat was still with us. You could always tell. Lumps of fur, imitating grey dust all over and both girls completely silent and sat watching a corner somewhere (with a crouching rabbit playing dead in it). Rescued loads over the years. No more as stealth cat is an indoor girl after we lost her Sis on the roadSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I’m quite lucky that I don’t remember our cats bringing us presents. Next door have the most beautiful looking Persian (mongrel) style cat - a real princess, but thug in disguise -the things she takes home 😱😱 birds, mice, a rat and a frog - she has scared all the birds from our bird table. On a plus we don’t see any rats....not that we saw a lot before but there was once one eating nuts from the bird table 😳😱January spends - £587.586

Hi Beanie
I'm finding the list of presents cats bring home to their owners fascinatingly gruesome!
I did my stint at the food bank and have absolutely no idea what's going on.There was a mountain of food packed up into bags and 2 people turned up! Apparently the lady who's set it up runs a charity in another area and is only using church because of the room we have, but the people who need the food don't live anywhere near and can't get to it. I've also gleaned today that she is only offering the food as an add on to the information services she really wants to provide. So she doesn't really see the main thing as being a food bank, even though her husband was carting loads of food in that had been donated to them. Honestly, there are shelves stacked high with tins, jars, rice, pasta, cereal etc. It's like a preppers bunker. Truthfully, it's all a bit of a shambles. It's only running one day a week and I've no idea what they're going to do with all the fresh stuff they had - probably take it to a foodbank! No wonder the other lady is tearing her hair out. Anyway, thought you might be interested because compared to what you've said about yours, this set up seems completely different. xx
