Beanie I have had one of these for the past 8 years and it's still going strong.

It doesn't take up much space when it's not being used.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.5 -

I can lay a pair of jeans flat but if I can explain it won't take the full length but I fold the bottom of the legs up in the centre.
I then turn them over after a while.
( With things like Jeans I give them an extra spin in the washer to help dry them )If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.5 -

Hi Beanie
Hope you've had a good day. We got rid of our dryer for a dish washer when we had a new kitchen fitted, probably nearly 10 years ago now! Blimey, that's made me stop and think.
I don't struggle too much with clothes, but towels and bedding in winter drive me mad. We've got a de-humidifier and I tend to put things on an airer and switch it on which helps with the washing and the condensation from having it hanging all around the house! I think I'd have a dryer again if I could though. xx 4 -
I have one of these picked up when they were half price in store - would take up more space when being used though. https://www.aldi.co.uk/easy-home-230w-heated-airer/p/705665397560400 . It does most things overnight, except jeans and heavy jersey (which I generally put on a radiator instead or spread out on there when I've taken everything else off).

Beanie I have the same one as grumpelstiltskin . All my stuff dried on it with the cover on . It’s a bit fiddly loading it at first but you soon get used to it .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.5

I was wondering if a pack of clip hangers like these with a rail like this above a radiator might work for jeans and underwear? - we have a metal rail above the (always on) range and what won't fit on the front dries easily overnight, hanging from the rail. If you've got an electric convector heater that could be underneath it could be used in summer when it is raining too?
We actually put a disabled grab rail above the radiator in the bathroom and it is a brilliant extra towel rail for warm towels.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
