Hi Beanie
Can you not arrange to meet up outside somewhere with DS. I think where you are the groups allowed are slightly larger than ours, although I'm losing track of who's doing what so I could be wrong. Either way, I hope you get to see him, especially as you did all the hard working bringing him into the world
xx

Boo to the whole lot of it, absolutely. I just look at the English stuff, its so inconsistent and weird and ... everything ... my head would explode if I tried to check the other UK countries too. Hope you manage something, though, beanie.

It's so annoying that the minority have yet again ruined it for the majority and we all get tarred with the same brush. When DS and the GKs visit we will now officially be breaking the law as there are 4 of them and 3 of us. DD is going to stay in her room with the door shut so there are only 6 of us "gathering" but she likes to see them too. There is a call for children under 12 not to be counted but as it stands now they are. What made me smile was the local pubs have cracked down with rules saying no mingling in the pub or stopping to talk to other tables of people - do not pass go, do not collect £200 😂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

We’re in the same boat - 4 in dd’s family, 2 of us but my ds lives on his own and we’ve formed a bubble with him. There’s no way dd would travel over 300 miles to see us without visiting her brother as he is still recoverin. Dd came to see how I was yesterday and ds popped in for a quick half hour - there were 4 of us but technically we were from 3 households - I’m not sure if we broke the law or not - a bubble plus 1. But I’d pay any fine atm - we needed to see each other after my hospital stay......Felt safer than going to a pub 😡😡😡 And they wouldn’t come anywhere near if they had any suspicious symptoms.
Hope you get to see your ds soon.January spends - £587.585 -
I mean it just makes me so angry.
In Scotland I have DS & my DM.
Technically if we meet we are breaking the law.
But we could go to the pub & meet Joe Random.
I could cry.
If my mum went to England to see her brother ( & SIL) technically she could not see her nephew who lives in the same area. 😕😕😕😕😕I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I agree with Milann. I certainly wouldn't be worrying about one extra family member being in the house when it's OK to go out and come into contact with loads of people you don't know. I can't even begin to fathom their way of thinking over this rule. xx6

The excuse Boris gave today for not allowing more than 6 (ie 2 parents 2 children 2 Grand parents) was that although young children rarely get ill with Covid they can 'pass it on' to vulnerable adults. I guess if you only have 2 children and not 3 that they are somehow miraculously incapable of being carriers!!!! ????I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy7 -
