I have spoken with the vet today.
Although Master J has been brighter the last couple of days they are in agreement 100% that I am doing the right thing by by Master J by letting him go in view of how he was over the weekend.
Mr N is going to be groomed at the vets next week as long as he passes the health check before hand. My thoughts will be with you on Friday. I will admit I shed a tear for Miss J when it happened. I’m sorry you didn’t have longer with them both but you’ve given them a lot of love and happiness in their latter life xx Hopefully Mr N will get his grooming and feel a bit more comfortable.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Very sorry to read this news Beanielou, so hard for you. If it's any consolation I once delayed this for a much loved dog as it was one of the children's birthdays and we had a dreadful night with her and felt very guilty. Better when he is ok and not too ill. I will be thinking of you both on Friday.7
