We’ve had a lot of cats over the years but one in particular stands out, my marmalade striped cat, Gino. I’d always wanted a ginger Tom and saw a kitten advertised in the paper, went to fetch him, he was in a very scruffy house, filthy and covered in fleas. We took him home and cleaned him up. When I took him to the vets to be done they phoned me to say he was actually a she and that marmalade striped female cats are very rare did I still want her done. I went ahead with it. I really loved that cat, she was so lovely. She was just 2 years old when I found her dead on the garden path. I think she must’ve been hit by a car but there were no obvious injuries. I was absolutely heartbroken and cried every day for a week. I’ve loved all my cats but she was just the best 💕I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I had a ginger tomcat called Tiger who was found abandoned in some slum clearances near to my brothers work years ago. We cleaned him up and he was a very handsome chap. The trouble is he lived up to his name and used to sit in hiding in the bushes waiting for my mum to hang her washing out and pounce on her and bite her legs. She had a really bad infection after one bite and sadly Tigers days were numbered - I was heartbroken 😢😢but knew he couldn’t keep biting my mum - he never did it to anyone else😳😳January spends - £587.585

Hi Beanie
Hope you're feeling a little less tired than you were. Shame that the food bank is needed by so many people, but it's so good that it's there for people who are struggling. Glad the move has gone well for DS and GF. TBH I've lost track of what we're allowed and not allowed to do but will you be able to go and visit them for a cup of tea soon? xx
