Never be clutter free as that’s not me. However the garage is now mostly clear. Amazing. I have floor tiles from a job that was done nearly 30 years ago in case I needed them!!! Off to the skip they go!!
Spare room no 1 now has nothing belonging to me in it so result :j :j

Could you make a patchwork quilt or something from the clothes? (If it's sentimental reasons?)

I made heart shaped cushions many years ago out of my wedding dress. I kept a couple and gave some to my nieces for Christmas and the remainder went to The Brittle Bone Society - they made about a £100 out of them which was a lot of money about 35 years ago..... Could you make something small for you and make craft things to sell maybe out of the clothes? Not sure how crafty you are Beanie.January spends - £587.581

When I'm on a mission to declutter clothes I have a good look at the stuff I don't wear, why don't I wear it, time for it to go. Something else I've heard but not tried is when you hang something back up in the wardrobe turn the hanger the other way round. After a set time look at what's still hanging the other way and that's all the stuff you don't wear and can get rid of.
I need to have a major cull of my summer clothes and sandals this year, got far too many, loads of stuff I haven't worn for years.
I think we both need to be ruthless
