The SAAB 9-3 is a cracking car, and a great second hand buy.

Any of the turbo charged engines are good, but the non-turbo 1.8 engine is a tad underpowered. Ride is smooth and handling is reasonably sharp. It's quite spacious, its well built, and has a 5-star NCAP rating.

Servicing at a SAAB dealer can be a bit pricey, but intervals are widely spaced. Reliability is good, with no major problems that I'm aware of. Previous SAAB's just go on and on and on and on...

If you like the car, I wouldn't hesitate.

    I have owned 2 Saabs a 2005 Saab 9-3 1.9TiD Vector Sport and a 2006 Saab 9-3 Vector 1.9TiD Convertible.

I have heard that the 2.2 engine is not as good as the 1.9 and there are many rattles to contend with.
