I was upset that we will not all be together one day, but at least I get to see everyone, and we will have 2 christmas days :D:D

    It certainly is. :(

DD1 had said back in the summer she was coming to stay, they were going to book a hotel, like a premier inn and see both sets of parents on the day.

I said would it not be bit weird Teeny's first xmas in a hotel room so guess I sowed a seed. I suggested why didn't they do like we did last year and open presents at home in the morning and then travel while we have xmas dinner on the go. (we took dinner there to cook last year!)

But it has backfired and minds have been changed. :(

It won't be the same I found it hard enough last year without mum, Mr TS just tells her I will get over the upset of her not coming but I won't. It will always be there, moist eyes writing this. :o

oh bless poor you, I think I would be the same sending you love and hugs , at least mine are only a couple of miles away so I can pop in on the way to the stables,,

A very quick question...what is healing balm?
I've just been sent some in a little pot to test but the instructions on where to use it and what for are a bit vague...

It smells of cloves...do you use it on cuts and grazes like an antiseptic type thing or on your lips like a lip balm?

It has the appearance and texture of a lip balm.

Sounds like tiger balm to me

I can only get the £3 and the £2 to work and then I am lost!

Although my fridge is empty, I think I will sit this one out x

Christmas seems to cause problems in this way every year in one way or another. Maybe because everyone has different ideas about the perfect way to spend their day. I have young babies and try to make sure both sides get to spend some time with us. I love the big family get together but I hope when my babies are older they feel the same. Maybe you could have a Christmas Day on a different day? Ours is on 23rd this year as my OH will be away working for 4 days starting at 6am Christmas morning :(

I think that's what makes it difficult for me as it is their choice, not like they are working, I know eventually with DD2 she will be working xmas being a doctor which makes it worse for me as I feel the ones all together will become less frequent. :o

I guess I have always been lucky Mr TS never questioned that we would spend xmas day with my parents. And boxing day with his mum and aunt, uncle and cousins. His cousin has never spent a xmas day away from her parents either.

We still carry on the tradition of going to his cousins she took over from his aunt and uncle as they have got older. So it will make it difficult fitting in celebrating another day here. :(

Just remembered DD1's first xmas we slept over his mum's and then went to mine for xmas dinner. Everyone was happy. His mum passed away 1993, DD2 was only few months old and DD3 was a twinkle in Mr TS's eye. ;)

Should have put a waffle alert on that post.

I've only just gotten around to trying out the cheese and I'm getting the same. I think this wasn't meant to be!

Do you know rhos I probably would even travel there (2 hours) after dinner but we haven't been invited. Not sure if the Mr TS, DD2 and DD3 would be happy to though.

You are so lucky you brood all live so close. :A

It was the same mother's day his year they didn't come home as DD2's and DD3's birthday's are so close to it, I know life changes but I find it hard. I was always there every celebration of my parents but guess I was very lucky. :o

Just popping in to say that the finest £5 moc has just worked for me on an online c&c together with the 2 x non-finest dairy mocs on a single block of the T mature cheddar. Cheese costs £3, mocs accepted £11, so £8 off the rest of my shopping. Also works with cathedral city blocks.
