Another selfish post here
, DD1 has said she want's to spend xmas day with just her BF and Teeny.
I totally feel for you snap, if you are like me you want to spend xmas day with the ones you love, a different day is just not the same to me.
I was sooo excited with all the presents I have bought Teeny too. I never spent a xmas without my mum and what makes it hard is I know if she was still here DD1 would not stay away.
I hope you and fourp can come to some resolution. :heart2:
Christmas seems to cause problems in this way every year in one way or another. Maybe because everyone has different ideas about the perfect way to spend their day. I have young babies and try to make sure both sides get to spend some time with us. I love the big family get together but I hope when my babies are older they feel the same. Maybe you could have a Christmas Day on a different day? Ours is on 23rd this year as my OH will be away working for 4 days starting at 6am Christmas morning0 -

I'm pleased I have here to vent my feelings. As I can't say anything out loud as I will really be be incredibly selfish
My Parents are coming to stay, it's Dad's birthday Christmas Day, we have our lovely Great Nieces here too
I've planned home made crackers, games, meals etc

This is a very selfish post om my behalf
Fourp has told me he is going to his DMs for Christmas:(
I was so looking forward to our Christmas here
I can't go with him as I'm working
Lovely for him & his family
Not selfish at all, but I can understand why. Is there no way she can come down to yours? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I was going to try an instore cheese shop in a bit. Did you try both of the £3 off (non finest) coupons?
I'm going for dairy free cheese and the finest cheese coupons wouln't work on that online so I was just going to try the 2 x £3 non finest coupons?
Hope that makes sense?

It certainly is.
DD1 had said back in the summer she was coming to stay, they were going to book a hotel, like a premier inn and see both sets of parents on the day.
I said would it not be bit weird Teeny's first xmas in a hotel room so guess I sowed a seed. I suggested why didn't they do like we did last year and open presents at home in the morning and then travel while we have xmas dinner on the go. (we took dinner there to cook last year!)
But it has backfired and minds have been changed.
It won't be the same I found it hard enough last year without mum, Mr TS just tells her I will get over the upset of her not coming but I won't. It will always be there, moist eyes writing this.0 -
