I would echo a lot of what tweets said, at the start you think that you need a lot of fresh veg and fruit but after a while you find a few recipes that work out very economical and are mostly from tins / powders - mushy pea curry (doesn't taste like mushy peas!), baked bean lasagne.
I find meat is the expensive part, so have mushroom curry (love curry!) instead of chicken.
Mullerlights are expensive too, but smartprice fatfree yogurt with a portion of options is a good alternative - not syn free but a good compromise.
Short answer: yes more expensive but with some planning it doesn't have to be excessively so.
Oh, and we have an Actifry so make wedges for 1tbsp of oil (6syns or HexB if Extra virgin olive oil), that is enough for two adults and a toddler.
Hope that helps
Thanks Munqui
I know what you mean. I end up using a lot of Quorn/Linda McCartney stuff as a compromise as lean mince etc so much pricier.
I've got a slow cooker which gets a lot of use. Love campfire stew in it. Couldn't get baked bean lasagne to work. I'm usually an alright cook but for some reason it just didn't turn out right.
I've looked at an Actifry but seems expensive. We love SW chips/roasties made with frylight in the oven so not sure we'd use it enough to justify the cost.♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0 -

Price increase in A on Muller light 6 packs, chance for £2GC perhaps.. that's about all I can think that would give us a benefit.

Oh good!:) I'm glad they're going up in price - hopefully will lose less on the APG now as I'm fed up with them going £2 vs £3.89. Not that £2.50 vs £3.89 would be any good, but at least would lose less. I hope they go up to £3.89 individual and that one of my muggles buys just one of them and misses the 2 for £5, as they keep getting the beggars on wombles:(...0 -

It is strange, but I don't think I have been to Batley in years. I tend to try to stay on the M1 corridor … god knows why with the flipping road works!
Whilst I am moaning about roadworks, does anyone know why they have a purple tube pinned to the top of the concrete section in the middle of the road… it has a wire in but it can only be temporary.
I hope you got enough magazines to have a good play x:D:D:D
