Lol! My little boys have adjusted very well, the eldest refuses to see or speak to ex. He's so embarrassed about his new gf being 3 yrs older than him:rotfl: plus we all knew her. I on the other hand, am really nice to her. Drives them both potty. Ex doesn't like me being nice. He thinks that somehow means I got over it quickly. I didn't, just no going back so no point being miserable.
I do find his comments like that quite amusing. We were still married when he was dipping his wick elsewhere, yet I am criticised for being friendly:rotfl:
Oh you poor thing. That's awful. Hope you and your kids are OK.
If the kids are his as well, then make sure you send them over to him too to look after. My cousin found her husband was doing it with their neighbour for numerous years, she got so upset by it that she told the kids never to talk to him or acknowledge him which meant she ended up looking after kids all on her own whilst trying to get through the messy divorce and ended up having a huge breakdown.
All the best to you.0 -
Don't be sorry silly. Just another chapter in my mental life. And by no means the worse. I've used it as an opportunity. I've never had such a busy life. Was fed up of being in on my own so went to the nearest pub. Thought I'd just sit at the bar for a few then go home. Ended up bumping into an old school friend, then being asked for my number by his friend, excused myself to the toilet, snuck out the back door and went home. Met up the next day and that's that. Made some fantastic friends over the last 6 months and not long ago discovered that the landlady is my second cousin! Small world!
And I did the most unsavvy thing ever. I spent a lot of money on me!! Not like he can ask for half of them:rotfl:
Good for you Wool :j xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -
Good lord, where on earth does someone find the time and energy to be that devious?!
Me or him?
Me - Took me a few seconds to print the statement, then a phone call to the hotel requesting an email copy of bill. Didn't have to move from my chair to track him. Joys of technology.
Him - he clearly wasn't very good at it. Work at peak season was always going to be a good excuse to be away from home more. Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

He is a fantastic dad. He has them 3 nights most weeks, 4 some. It only works because my job is so flexible. He does more with them now than he ever did. Can't fault him as far as the kids go.
He and his gf took them abroad this summer, to the same place we used to go three times a year. He takes her to our special place in holland That was a bit weird but they aren't our places anymore.
If you knew my history, you'd know I've coped with much worse. I'm a toughie! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -
Happy birthday Bubbs hope you had a lovely day🎂0

I meant him - it was the trip abroad part that floored me.
My ex was a two-timing scumbag. More power to your elbow for moving on :T
Ahh, he planted the seed a few weeks before but a few things didn't add up with what he was telling me. That's when I knew. When I couldn't ignore it. It was worse because it was the half term and kids were off school so he chose time with her over the kids. Only thing I went mental about. But not for a few weeks, had to evidence gather. The hotel were a pain in the !!!! with data protection but I got it in the end. Stumbling on the credit card was pure luck. Knowing passwords was just him being predictable! The best and only nasty thing I did was turn the parking sensors off on his car. He rammed a bollard that day. Couldn't have her driving around in a pristine new car:rotfl:Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

I'll make you a little cake for next time we meet up (will give me an excuse to show my lack of baking skills to the elite)
