My mate text me and said you can use pounds in Iceland? I'm sure if you can that's not the case everywhere so I'll be sticking with kroner.
Yes, and Euros and US$, in the bigger touristy-type places; but not everywhere.

    Good evening :)

Thank you :) that is very thoughtful. I've barely spoken to him today with being out all day :o and no fancy dinner because I ate when I was out. The kids are tucking into 'our' chocolate cake though so they are very happy :rotfl:

I have a doggy question, if anyone can help. My dog has managed to cut his head when trying to steal food put out for the chickens by burrowing under a wire fence!! It's not a deep cut and I don't think it needs a vets attention, but because he's White he now has a pink head!! :o I want to bath him but don't know if I should? Or if it will set it off bleeding again. Or should I leave it until the cut has healed a bit. He looks ridiculous  and had a spongebob plaster on the cut when I got home :rotfl:

We have got vetinary grade aloe Vera - its a pump bottle - got it from Amazon - we use this for any cuts and bites on our cats - should be fine for doggies as well - I use it myself if I get a scrape. Its good for first aid and stops anything going septic and needing an expensive trip to the vets.

Are you doing the blue lagoon? There is another place a bit further on from the port but closer to which I think you can get to via the local bus. I am slightly put off doing the blue lagoon - you are supposed to have a naked shower first without your swim suit on - not sure if this is so. Also the pool is very hot - just a bit worried about getting a bit light headed in the heat :)
When I went I didn't do the Blue Lagoon but did quite a few of the other hot springs, a few of which you had to have a shower first but not naked (at least, not for the boys:p); a lot of the municipal swimming pools have communal hot tubs alongside the swimming pool, and a lot are open-air too - that's really good, if ou can find one (the tourist information should have info).
The water was hot, around 38°C as I remember from one of them, but it is very pleasant indeed, once you are in and get used to it after a couple of minutes; but the locals recommened not to stay in the hot pools for too long. Great for back ache or aching/tired bodies in general:)

Will do mhoc. Our hotel is right next to the concert hall :) Definitely want to do a supermarket, it's one of my favourite things to do when I'm in a totally alien place! The cathedral is on the list so fingers crossed the queue isn't too bad.

Off out with PD for sweet Sunday ;)

Us too - always looking for supermarkets and markets and delis where ever we are - we also have to look at the railway stations for OH and cruise ships ;)

    Evening everyone,

Looks like I picked the best couple of days to go AWOL.

I am glad to see DM is back but see he needs one of my big Tiny hugs. :A

I am just finishing a reorganisation of our bookcases. Yesterday we carried upstairs into our bedroom a huge pile of books from our downstairs coffee table that had no room on any shelves. Needed to make things tidier while family were round. And Mr TS said he wasn't going to carry them all downstairs again until I had played tetris. :o

So have been sat with DD3 after picking her up from work going through the last of the "kids" books upstairs that she has now grown out of so now have a pile to go in the loft, (not sure room up there ) but lots of room to play around with for Mr TS's shopping habit. ;)

Hopefully will be back later, I have missed loads but caught some things I wished I hadn't. :(

LFAB I hope you got a PM from me. ;)
