Hope they don't carry on like last night and she may snap out off it for bedtime.0 -
Evening all!
I'm after a recommendation if possible, my dear nana has asked me to research an electric under blanket for her. Hubby and I have a Warmnite which fits like a fitted sheet, but when I googled to try and find one for her, all I saw were ones with straps ,which won't fit as easily or stay in the same place as well as a fitted sheet type one. I also read loads of reviews saying it was so small it would have fitted a single bed! I don't know whether they have a different model to me, but mine certainly fits well.
So, if anyone can suggest a suitable non-fleecey, single control (she doesn't have two sockets to plug in dual control), fitted-sheet-style and true-to-size double electric under blanket for less than £50, I would be very grateful:rotfl:
My electric fitted blanket got 2 controls I use a timer switch in one socket
Mine came from Lakeland.
What about this one for your nana http://www.johnlewis.com/dreamland-6962-intelliheat-double-electric-underblanket/p2312700820 -
I'm getting very excited! My suitcase isn't packed yet (it is waiting in the hall though at least
) but I'm going to start tomorrow morning and do it in dribs and drabs over the course of the day.
I've resumed Christmas wrapping today. Y'know when you don't fully register how much stuff you have?
When you get back and when you get time it would be fab if you could do a write up, what you spent and where you went etc. Esp where you eat, what you eat and the cost.
I keep looking at these offers, very tempting and we could go from Manchester which is only an hour from us.
We have been to Iceland twice - loved it to bits - early June so no midnight sun .
The airport is literally in the city centre and planes fly over your head as they land.
Def get time to see the Harper centre in Reykjavik - they do tours there every day if you get time, fabulous building.
Cathedrel - there was a dreadful queue to go in the lift to the top so we didn't get a chance to go up.
Very walkable city centre, we walked all over, up and down every street very arty decorated houses, buskers, kids skate boarding down the Main Street.
Also look out for the supermarket called Bonus
There is a nice coffee place half way down the Main Street attached to a book shop - good place for free wi fi -“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Anybody thinking off putting £144 on sada Christmas savings card I think it's got to go on by the 15th or 16th.
I think I might .....then I change my mind.
But £6 is £6:think::think:
The only thing for me is that it would be tying up quite a bit of money for a good while. I am spending so little at the moment. I "spent" £20 today, got £7 back APG and picked up £10 in wombles:TTo do is to be. Rousseau

Hi
Are you have a break from your studies ?
Can I ask you a question.
I have not been to morries to try that M&M have you? Did not think that Scotland would be allowed to cut the overall cost of the alcohol Any idea?
ThanksNothing at M&M has appealed to me so far, the only points I've got are from wombles :money:
I think it could work so long as it's not "buy 2 get X points" because the law prohibits mulitibuy discounts on alcohol
You can have offers on single items so long as it runs for 3 days and isn't a ridiculous reduction
Look at it this way....If the final price of an item ends up being cheaper than a competitor's retail price then it's not really that different to A's promise of being 10% cheaper
You could get 2 vodka and £10.02 of free stuff or stuff you'll buy anyway. The vodka 3000 points are on until November 30th so that covers 4/6 of the £25 bonus weeks. If you won't use the vodka you'll easily get £9 from someone per bottle.
Of course week 1 ends tonight.
Linwood is oos btw.0
