Ok. S/P Cleaner contains "Benzisothiazolinone [and] Methylisothiazolinone" (nice) as well as the usual non-ionic surfactants and limonene. Whereas the CBY pine toilet gel contains non-ionic surfactants, disinfectant and limonene. The power gel doesn't mention limonene but it has non-ionic surfactants and disinfectant.

Surely they all function the same, as they all contain the surfactants? And I suspect the big long names function as the disinfectant?

I'm not convinced that the more expensive CBY, Power or branded products are providing anything extra or really that different.

From Wikipedia (not that I know whether or not it is accurate and whether I am to believe anything I read):

Benzisothiazolinone (BIT) is a widely used biocide and belongs to the group of isothiazolinones. [...] In paints, it is commonly used as a mixture with methylisothiazolinone. [...] It is widely used as active ingredient of many home cleaning products.

"Many home cleaning products"? So, use in S/P Toilet Cleaner just like used in posh-brand cleaners?

Methylisothiazolinone or MIT or MI, sometimes erroneously called methylisothiazoline, is a powerful biocide and preservative within the group of isothiazolinones, used in personal care products. [...] Methylisothiazolinone and other isothiazolinone-derived biocides are utilized for controlling microbial growth in water-containing solutions.[1]

    Meanwhile -

Disinfectants are antimicrobial agents [so they are all used for controlling microbial growth - Savvy:D, so exactly the same whether you have disinfectant or MIT] that are applied to non-living objects to destroy microorganisms that are living on the objects.[1] Disinfection does not necessarily kill all microorganisms, especially resistant bacterial spores; it is less effective than sterilization, which is an extreme physical and/or chemical process that kills all types of life.[1] Disinfectants are different from other antimicrobial agents such as antibiotics, which destroy microorganisms within the body, and antiseptics, which destroy microorganisms on living tissue. Disinfectants are also different from biocides [therefore refer back to BIT above - Savvy] — the latter are intended to destroy all forms of life, not just microorganisms. Disinfectants work by destroying the cell wall of microbes or interfering with the metabolism.

So, the S/P Toilet Cleaner is probably more effective as it kills more than what disinfectant does?
