We've been to fireworks this evening
a fab time was had by all- sparklers, fireworks, curry, beer if wanted and good company
Before we left we made sure the tv was left on for asbo cat, turned up a bit to hopefully distract her from any loud bangs over this way. I guess it didn't work because when we got back she was wide eyed tucked away under the table in the dining roomI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. :rotfl::rotfl: I've just posted a very similar post to this at the end of the last thread in error!
Shall we try again? Here's what I was trying to amend it to being (RF closed the thread whilst I was updating it to my latest version and here it now is!:rotfl:):
As regards sprouts:rotfl:, what's wrong with the frozen ones? I had to get some recently, vs T at £1:eek::o - we were really desperate though and not seen the 75p prices on them for some time.
Even at £1, for 1Kg, still cheaper than 10% off 69p for half that amount.
Whilst the frozen broccoli, only in my opinion, is pretty rank:eek: - that S/P stuff that was vs M at 50p (for all of one week, in which M apparently were trying to clear it - before 'changing their mind' and having it at 90p ever since) - the frozen CBY sprouts are as good as the fresh ones IMO. Obviously they defrost during cooking:rotfl:, just like you don't eat raw, fresh sprouts. Even when we get other items fresh, on glitches, I notice many people here still freeze the products, so really, fresh or frozen (and then defrosted later), seems to make no difference. I can't tell any difference - but then I don't tell much difference between "value" products and "posh" brands:rotfl::rotfl:! Or - I do tell the difference, and they can even be clearly different but the difference is still a good taste or, even, sometimes I like the taste of the "value" product better than the brand, precisely because it's a different taste!
Anyway - the CBY Frozen Sprouts say "Frozen for Freshness" - what's that all about? Either they are fresh or they are frozen. How can they be frozen for "fresh"ness and thus not "fresh" but, on the contrary, frozen? And once they are defrosted after being frozen, they had still previously been frozen and can't (IMO) be put back to being "fresh" - they could only be "fresh" at the outset and, once "frozen" are now "frozen" rather than "fresh" and can never be put back to a state of "fresh" in which they had never previously been something else, i.e. frozen, instead. How does the "Frozen for Freshness" one work?!?:rotfl:0 -
