They could strewth, but spending £100 on line won't be a problem for me....there are lots of stores I use anyway ....off to investigate the works:)
My thoughts tooTM, BS, boots and marksies are definitely on the list for the xmas runup. Will try to make it to the £50 mark by the end of tier 2 to be safe.

Suggests price increase on Cucumber Portion in M. Cucumber Portion might otherwise have been better, when this was vs 25p at M, as Portion Cucumber can be rather more than half a whole cucumber. However, suggesting that cucumbers should only ever be bought on whoopsies so never made my recent lists. Parsnips confirmed though (for a day or two:rotfl:) - but not liking them as much now. I preferred them when they were £1 as contributed to APG better.

    1 x ASDA Cucumber Portion£0.35£0.35
    1 x ASDA British Parsnips (500g)£0.65£0.49

Having no luck though, as they're all continuing to buy 3 for £4 multipacks of crisps:(:( and now losing out even more now that M is back up to £1.68:( - and 2 for £3 not mitigating it very much, so much worse a deal than previous 84p for one. Not liking the current price collection much, due to Morries having increased their prices.

With those crisps, people obviously generally taking leave of their senses. 3 for £4, which sees them buying in triplicate (I preferred it when they bought only one or two, and did so last week) is £1.33... per 6 pack. Do people realise how expensive that is? It's 18 packs for £4!:eek:_pale_ Even a 20 pack multipack (doubtless previously a 22, 24 and 25) at £4 is too much. They go onto half prices at £2. My guide price for a 6 pack multipack of crisps these days has to be below 50p. Clearly I'm on a different planet and totally different general perception of level of prices than the vast majority of the public that is clearly preferred to overpay drastically. I mentioned before, that with own brand prices and prices on multipacks etc., that the 6 pack would now have to be below 50p for it to attract my attention. So, all these £1 r'back offers - and even worse 3 for £4s - completely mug's prices. I look for a glitch now to make a 20 pack below £1.25. To pay £4 for just 18 is completely senseless in my view - and I've now had four receipts on which each of the shoppers has down precisely that. Hopeless now that Morries is even worse price, and even before I didn't like it when they got the mbuy and lost out by reducing A's prices on the comp.

As for the Cucumber Portion, according to the APG it may be Morries "everyday price" of 25p has ended... and now, soon after, become Morries "everyday price" of 35p:(. I wasn't paying attention to it - as whoopsied ones are cheaper. I also didn't like the Water Biscuits in M going up in price. They were "everyday price" 54p. Then, after many months (and presumably with Board approval as 'required' according to the public assurance that we got when M started its "new cheaper M" campaign) they increased to 65p. Now, after about a week or two, they are "everyday price" 65p.:(

I suspect Morries has done that to comply with the law. I think had they gone straight from "everyday low price 54p" to "everyday low price 65p", it could have been said that the "everyday low price" indication suggests that there has been no price increase and therefore would have been misleading. However, they have had them at straight 65p (and no "everyday low price" marking) for possibly one or two weeks in between. Thus, they have had them at 65p price and established that price, so that now, with no further increase, they can legally call them "everyday low price" 65p. Avoid. It's a price increase from earlier in the year - and I'm not sure why I even went for vs 54p as that was pretty expensive wasn't it? 54p for some "biscuits" when we see sub-50p pricing on own brand others?

Obviously, there's "low" and there's "low";). What is a "low" price?!? 54p was said to be "low" earlier in the year, now 65p is called "low". Obviously, some "lows" are lower than others:rotfl::rotfl:.

There's their opinion of course - that it is a "low" price. I note that the SEL indication merely represents their own opinion - and I disagree! 65p is a pretty high price IMO. (Obviously they are trying to persuade us, everyone, the general public, whomever, that this is a low price so that we take the product from the shelf and buy it.) I now think 54p was quite high as well, and thus I'm having none of it!:D:rotfl::rotfl::money:

Mr Savvy NON-buyer, leave everything on the shelf again:rotfl::rotfl:.

Please can everyone keep a look out for cherry liqueur chocs on their travels. What I am looking for is the ones with a real cherry inside, liquid and a red wrapper
Normally we get the Marks ones - used to be 3 for £5 - now 3 for £6  - except that the Marks I was in yesterday did not have them and now I am worried that they won't have then this year

I found them in aldi for £2 but I don't think these are the ones with cherries in. I got the poundland ones - no cherry and no wrapper and tasted horrible

So maybe waitrose or John Lewis ....
