I am in the same boat: leasehold flat with lease extension at completion(so even more complicated) and also have to start chasing EA and vendors solicitors seriously as things have been stalled for the last 3 weeks.

Do you have any hope to complete before Christmas ?

that was my initial hope however that is less likely by the day now. I asked my sol Thursday if there was any chance of it now and her response was she'll be able to advise more about the timescales once she's looked at the documents proparly and the lease/contract come in.

well they now have a copy of the contract, but there is apparently a problem with the lease - its a poor quality copy without any plans? apparently my sol is trying to get the vendors sols to find out where the original lease is!

well a little bit further forward (hopefully any way) have had the contract to sign from the sols ready for exchange which i sent back yesterday and the first part of my solicitors report on the searches, epc etc, they are still liasing with the vendors sol about the leasehold lease documents, so the report on that, title documents, the mortgage etc in due course. she has also suggested we go to the property again due to time since last saw it in case any changes or any further property questions arise.

Have noticed though that in the fixtures and fittings list it states that there is a telephone receiver in the box in hall cupboard, however there is no provider in the other list for the phone co and says n/a. would this mean that the line is just not activated and therefore would be able to get any phone company we decided to go to to get the line switched on?
