supply or account with that start date, it maybe when they migrated the address it had a dormant second mpan. That can be the only reason they want to check for another supply.
the ombudsman doesn't really understand supplys like they shouldDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -

If your explanation is correct why have npower not argued this case and provided the evidence to back it up?
The Ombudsman is hardly going to come up with your explanation on his own. That is certainly not his role.
To say your reason can be the only one is clearly untrue. Another explanation is someone made an administrative mistake. I have been billed for many months for two electricity supplies at the one address. Why? Because npower transferred a neighbour's account into my name and address by mistake. They did not deny they made this mistake (but were extremely poor, in my view, at fixing the mistake).0 -
So the 28 days have passed the messed around with an engineer coming round but he finally came stated there is one british gas meter no others. Agreed that my account has to be closed and the mpan number wiped from the data base. And thats it no apology no confirmation that the account has been closed and no check but I have received 4 bills all up to £5,250. Npower have said noone had the right to say it would be 28 day and ombudsman agreed even though I have the letter from ombudsman clearly stating 28days. They have messed me around for the last 2 and a half years an really f-ed with me this last month and a bit. Im done. Cant mentally cope with it now. They can do what they want.
I have been warned that theres a good chance my account will be re opened in the future manually and just to ignore it. Just ignore it like I was told 2 and a half years agoit might not be much, but its better than a kick in the teeth:rotfl:
