What's the deal?

Virgin mobile is offering all customers that sign up to its free online account management system £2 free credit.

How to get it

Simply go to Virgin Mobile and enter your mobile number and IMEI number. (This is a unique number relating to your handset. It's optional to add it but a good idea in case you ever lose your phone as it can then be blocked so no one else can use it).

The £2 credit should be applied to your account within 48 hours of signing up.

I just tried to sign up for this and got the message that 'someone has already registered this phone, are you sure you entered the correct details'. THEN I remembered that I had already set up an online account.:o Just waiting for virgin to contact me now to say someone has nicked my phone and is trying to register it! Thanks for posting the link anyway.
  • Why do loyal customers never get rewarded? Same thing happens with Sky TV, lots of freebies and incentives for new customers but nothing for those of us who pay up month after month. Sorry, whinge over.

This works for sims that aren't yet registered. There is no need to input the IMEI number. I registered 2 free sims via my existing account and both have been credited with the extra two pounds

I mentioned the free £2 on Sunday, didn't start a new thread though.

Can you tell me how long it took the £2 to show on your account, I got some free £5 sims the other week and didn't realise that Virgin would allow you to add these to your existing account(and bag the extra £2 on top of the £5).

Sorry I didn't see your post.

I logged on to my account at around 5 last night and clicked add new number, input the telephone number (no IMEI) and checked at 4.20 this afternoon and both new sims have a balance of £7

Thanks, i've tried one of mine. If nothing happens by tomorrow, I will register my son as a customer and get the extra credit that way. :A

  • I pay as I go but by direct debit (had to sign up to this to be able to use my phone abroad).
Does anyone know if by signing up for on line account management they stop sending you paper statements in the post?
    Thanks.

  • I had registered my wifes phone online two weeks ago onto my account which is 12 months old. I rang 789 from my phone and spoke to customer services who said my phone had been registered too long, but they credited our account £2 for my wifes phone.

It was worth a phone call!!!!!!!!!!:T
