  • Good evening chums Had a great day today and the sun shone for most of it DD and Son-i-Law and three boys all went to Norwich to visit Ben at Uni. A long drive 150 odd miles but well worth it as it satisfied me that he was warm ,safe and fed. He has a lovely room in the Halls and shares with 5 other lads and a lass .They are all great pals and although he looked thinner than I would have liked he was thrilled to see us all. There was DD,Oh,me ,and the three little boys plus two dogs crammed into my 7 seater:) bit of a squash but we made it.Plus a large bag of tinned and dried stuff to get him through until he breaks up next month. His three younger brothers all shared out some of their Halloween spoils so he could have some sweets as well Bless them they are good hearted lads.We were so pleased to see him and we all went for lunch at a pub in Norwich (the Red Lion near the river ) which didn't even mind the dogs coming in with us .The dogs behaved well and sat under the table. We had a good wander around the town afterwards and its really very nice up there Its a shame we didn't have longer..We left around 5.30 and got home about 9.00ish.I'm glad we went as I was worried about how he was managing but he is doing well and he said that the young californian lass in his halls is making sure the boys eat properly (she's a veggie, and keeps filling them up with vegatables) he said she is like a mother hen with all the boys:0 I am glad he is happy,if a bit broke at times and he is with a good crowd of boys (and girl)
He'll be 19 next month and I jsut don't know where the time has flown to. DD was happy to see her eldest son as well so both Mum and Granny are very happy bunnies tonight.
Its very pretty where the halls are and only a short walk to the river He said he wants to take his fishing rods back with him after Christmas.
Right time I toddled off to bed as its been a very long day,<<hugs for those in need >>
Good Night God Bless all here

Hugs for anyone who could use one....or more.

Busy day today as we went to town with several deeds to do, started with breakfast where I can get some lovely kippers. Availed of H&B's one cent sale and topped up on my fish oil, lysine and zinc which I take for cold sores, did some shopping in Aldi and an errand for DS3 who was trying to prepare his OH's car for MOT...its 8 years old, they bought it new but have had a lot of trouble with it....can't afford to replace at present. I was exhausted when we got back so had a little snooze in my chair, felt better afterwards.

It has been raining most of the day, so the dogs have been taking very quick ' comfort breaks', hopefully they can get out for longer to-morrow...Mossy likes to patrol the edges of the fence in the hope that he will find a way out.....looking forward to taking him for walks when I can walk distances again, in the meantime he has plenty of space to exercise.

Nothing exciting here happening here, the only trick or treater we had was my one year old great nephew in his skeleton suit, there are no children near us anymore, they have all grown up.

Looking forward to having DS1 for five days from 10th, he has something on in Dublin that week...is birthday is 11th, has been years since he has been at home for it....43, it only seems like yesterday.

    Sleep well all, stay safe
