Halloween must be getting quieter ?

We live in a nice community spirited area and we had loads of kids round guising. I LOVE seeing them keep up the old traditions and they all did their wee "turn" for a few sweets.
I'm very frugal but £5 for a bucket of sweeties once a year is really no trouble.0 -

Ironically had my first ever children at the door today, nothing here for them though so hopefully they won't be back next year.

I see it as a pagan festival and so in that sense I don't approve of it. Hence why I said I don't mark it in any way.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

That's a shame Torry. You are depriving yourself of so much fun. Still if you celebrate Christmas etc you are enjoying your own wee fairy stories so each to their own

We had loads this year, at least 20 different sets of kids. They all looked fab.
Whilst I dont do anything myself for Halloween these days, I love seeing all the little ones dressed up and having fun - and almost ran out of sweeties last nightWith love, POSR

In these parts there seems to be an unwritten rule that if you have no pumpkin or decorations then you aren't participating. We had about 6 knocks last night and we had a 'happy halloween' sign up and a couple of pumpkins.
Spoke to my next door neighbour this morning who had nothing up and she told me she hadn't had a single caller and her DH was now happily eating all the sweets.0
