Using tesco SIM in locked O2 iPhone

Just bought a iPhone for our daughter currently on O2. I know O2 is tesco network but can I put nano tesco sim in the phone? Thanks

    It has to, but it was really worth getting the phone unlocked especially as only O2 cold do this and as they do this for free to their customers.
