New Shoes - Brantanos Shop

I was in the Brantano shoe shop today in Avonmeads, Bristol. A Lady was buying a new pair of boots, but noticed a scuff on one of them. She asked for a discount of which 10% was offered.
This was on the understanding that she could not bring them back for any reason? So I checked with the sale of goods act, which says the customer cant bring them back due to the fault as disclosed to the customer, BUT the customer has every right to return them should she find another undisclosed fault.
Has anybody else had a similar experience?
