Completely new BT Line - Do I have to use BT BB for 12 months?

Hi Guys,
I just moved into a brand new apartment and had to get a BT Landline. This will tie me to BT for 12 months. Is this only for the phone service, or does that affect the BB Service as well?
I would like to get Fast4.net instead of BT.

If you have only signed for phone then you can get any BB you like, I for instance have BT phone line & Virgin BB
I assume so far you do not have BB hence the questionWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0 -
As Farway says you can use who you like for your broadband,as long as the supplier does not want to take over your line rental.0
