Xbox ones are well over £300, so having already got a very big present I'd just get some sweeties so she has a few little things to open.

Quality over quantity - I doubt she will feel hard done buy because she has a smaller volume of presents.

Only yesterday I was out with DD2 and she was buying stocking filler type stuff for DGD2 who's 12.

In Superdrug she bought stuff in the Zoella range (cute guinea pig make up bag, perfume, bubble bath, fizz bar). In Primark things like foam curlers and a leopard onesie and some cheap (£6?) Ugg style ankle boots. Girls that age seem to make their eyes up a lot so eyebrow pencil, mascara. They also seem to watch youtube videos for make up ideas so any sort of make up set for them to experiment.

Interestingly DGD2 was also doing some shopping with a friend and they're really into Lush bath bombs lots of citrussy/fruity smelling ones.

DD1 on the other hand had different views when DGD1 was that age. So less 'stuff' but better quality. She also had make up but something like a Benefit set and Snow Fairy (only sold at Christmas) from Lush was a favourite. Then underwear from places like Jack Wills and Converse or Vans.

My DD at that age loved anything from pretty socks, confy blanket, a cute water bottle, cosmetic products, stationary. It was then vouchers at her favourite shops. I think it is what started her going shopping with friends for the first time so loved the idea rather than coming shopping with me!

i'd agree with a lot of the suggestions, my 12 year old niece loves nail stuff, vans/converse, anything comfy like a onesie/pjs/slippers/etc. I just got her a pair of black ankle boots which she loves. She's also a huge little mix and 5 seconds of summer fan so anything to do with either.

Stationary is a good idea too! Why didn't I think of these!

Wilko have good ranges of stationary and little bits to go with the items, like key rings etc.

if you were splashing out a bit more Paperchase is lovely - they also do nice bags and satchels.

a straighforward, age-appropriate manicure voucher would be good if she is into that sort of thing. even better if she is allowed to take a friend.

Accessorize is good for little stocking fillers.

Our DD gave us a hint on our granddaughters Christmas pressie - Katy Perry Perfume. apparently its all rage among the young teens! and less than £18 at (I think it was Home Bargains - but could be Poundstretcher - sorry, not sure which).

my DD was 12 last xmas, among her surprise pressies from Santa were (these are the ones I recall buying and which she is still using now) -

cuddly dressing gown (she had not long discovered Zoella's blogs on youtube and loved the same dressing gown she bought in Primark)

    1D perfume

    nordic design slipperboots

frilly ankle socks (primark again, got 3 pairs for less than a fiver and she still wears them now, with her converse)

Soap & Glory make-up and toiletries (its her initials coincidentally so it always tickles her to get S&G stuff)

this year, at age 13, among her Santa/family surprises are -

hairdryer (it will be her first one of her own)
    Avon brow kit
    S&G toiletries
Me to You Tatty Teddy figurines (special offer in Argos recently)
    Ipad cover
    mobile phone case
    Hogwarts t-shirt
books, couple of DVDs, make-up brushes, mobile phone speaker, Lush toiletries.

This took me back! 51 years ago, my mum bought me a pair of "tights" (for those under 60, we used to have to wear stockings with suspenders and they were not FUN for everyday!) and they were printed with a "Beatle" pattern! I was the envy of everyone!
My advice is: ask her best friend and swear her to secrecy!

Deodorant, toothbrush, underwear, PJs, perfume, make up, hot water bottle, stationery for school, phone cover, diary, socks for a whole year, spot cream, chocolate, costa coffee voucher. Basically anything she would need during a year, wrap it up and save a fortune! She twigged on the school PE kit tho xx
Never again will the wolf get so close to my door
