Owl Dead

The squirrel in question had been run over by another car and both of its back legs were totally crushed so there was no way that it would have survived.
If it was on a busy road or near to a bend or junction where it wouldn't have been wise for me to stop then I would have left it, but it was on a fairly quiet back road so there was no problem with me stopping to finish the critter off.0 -
Now there was that thing a few years ago, in America, where an Airbus ran into a flock of Canadian geese.
The captain was a thoroughly decent fellow and set down on the Hudson River to go check if there was anything he could do for the poor mites.
Setting an example for Aardvark's trucker to aspire to I'd say.Optimists see a glass half full
Pessimists see a glass half empty
Engineers just see a glass twice the size it needed to be

I'm sure the next vehicle would have finished it off.
Beep Beep aardvaak asking about the horn today. :rotfl:0 -

I was recently in the same situation as that described by Shaun from Africa and I also tried to use a fire extinguisher to dispatch the animal concerned.
I'll tell you something. A 1Kg fire extinguisher wasn't really up to the job and the horse concerned wasn't best pleased with my efforts to put him out of his misery.0 -

It's ironic that I happen to stumble across this post today. I had a bird smash against my windscreen driving to work today. Yeah, it happens.. not a lot anyone can do about it. Driving on the way home from work, I crushed a rabbit. Though that one was more horrid as I actually felt my wheel go over it.
I can see the funny aspect in this post asking about the dead owl but clearly the OP cares much about animals and felt the need to take the time to write this. We’ve had to remove your signature. Every night they come and sh*t all over my car and it is now damaging the paintwork.
They are horrible disgusting messy beasts.0 -
The Op reminds me of a friend of mine, who decided she didn't want to squish a fluffy wuffy animal and it would be far better if she swerved into a stone bridge.
The good news was the fluffy critter lived, the bad news she killed herself and her two kids.0
