Can you be a second class friend? Poll Discussion

Poll started 24th July 2007. Can you be a second class friend? Are you snobby about what stamp you get? Is second class more literal than economic? If someone posted you a birthday card with a second class stamp on it, Which of the following would be your view?
A. They’re cheap. The symbolism of first class is important.
B. They’re savvy. Glad to see they value what matters.
C. Only fine if it arrives in time. If not, it shows they value money over mates.

Sending a belated birthday card by second class post is not acceptable IMHO. So long as the card gets there on or before the birthday then that's fine by me.0

I don;t think I'd even notice, unless it were very late. I think I'd just be extremely chuffed someone other than my other half, my mum or my best mate cared enough to pick out a card for me and send it to me and wouldn't give a hoot if a snail delivered it!
As I've got older, I've been surprised by just how little birthday and Christmas cards I recieve each year from my so-called friends. Now either I'm a billie-no-mates or I've just got some very tigh fisted friends
I sent our evening wedding invites by second class post last year and the day ones first classSome friends apparently got the hump over that........

I usually tell my mates that they can either have £2 spent on a card and a small present, or no card and a present worth £2 more . . . guess which they opt for :rolleyes:0 -

To be fair, I'd probably be in the same camp as most of your friends......
While it *is* the thought that counts, I just end up recycling cards anyway, so a letter in with a pressie, or in fact a call / text then a pressie when I next see them..........
Meh, cards just seem a bit of a waste these days - wait till you get started with the whole xmas cards discussion........

Remember the MoneySaving mantras!
IF YOU'RE SKINT......
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?
IF YOU'RE NOT SKINT......
Will I use it? Is it worth it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?0
