Still nothing here and just had my first missed payment. Thought I was in the clear with all my direct debits going out on payday but sadly one failed yedtetday so that's charges on top of a double payment next month.
Worst thing about it all is that they know that you're entitled before sending out the forms as they go through the checks, so why can't they make an interim payment so the family doesn't have to starve or continue paying the child or working element only 😏
To top it all off our washing machine has just broken and can't afford to have someone come look at it, kids have all sorts of things at school which we can't afford to pay and later today were going to have to ask our parents for more things for packed lunches. I feel like crying. I've never been so penniless.
I know the feeling! my fridge is so bare im having to create meals from thin air putting what ever I can find in the cupboards together! Im going to give them until Monday and phone to chase it up! im waking up in the middle of the night to check my balance to see if its in, and every day im going overdrawn because of charges from returned dd's!
This is horrendous!0 -

It's not ideal but unfortunately there isn't anything that can be done and they aren't going to change it now that it only has a couple of years left.
It is an estimation but when they have been paying you they know you have children, they have the proof, even if they gave the basic amount of the child tax credit which we are entitled to then that would be a help in keeping our children fed and warm!0 -
Spoke to them today and we're having a payment on Tuesday :j
Good luck with yours, it's a huge relief for us, only 3 more days of going without and watching our spending0 -

Ohhh yay for you! I'm going to phone them tomorrow! I used their 'where's my reply' section on the website and it says 2nd December before I should chase it up? I can't wait til then!0 -
I just phoned for an update they said the system hadn't recognised that my old claim had finished even though it was done over the phone by them!
She said everything else was fine and they will process it to phone back in a few days to see where they are at!
It's the kids nursery I'm well behind on now, partner is on a course to get back into work so I have the have them in nursery which is a killer at almost £100 a day! x0 -
Payment all in fine, not had new award notice as yet though. Have you called them again for an update?0
