  • some codes are onle valid when you use your credit account - also as this is a ZG code you may need to use a new account with different email address and date of birth to be able to use it.

  • Ive got a few accounts with various catalogues in my name and my husbands name. Personally, i would be carfeul changing details like your date of birth in order to open a new account. Don't see a problem with changing email addresses to open accounts (done it various times, even my 5 year old now has an email account!), but DOB's are often used for credit checks and therefore my be seen as fraud. Guess the flip side of the argument would be that if DOB's are crucial info in opening accounts, you shouldn't be able to open an account with a wrong DOB!
November wins...a book, a designer handbag (worth £550 :T) and a game. I am now an addict and thank everyone for taking the time to share and post. :D
  • no I don't mean open a credit account with a false date of birth, I meant a credit card account - they don't carry out credit checks on credit card accounts for example I used my daugthers birthday and changed the year to make her 18 ordered but paid on my credit card.

isnt that still classed as fraud though? Also, I didnt think you could use voucher codes if you paid by card?

I wouldnt recommend to anyone to open a second account with the same catalogue, I had two with Littlewoods and they started to investigate me for fraud! They closed all my home shopping catalogues(littlewoods, lx direct, additions etc)

Finally after 6 mths they reopened my accoounts but the credit limit is not even a 1/4 of what it was. The 1st few times I ordered, they rang me to ask questions to and even asked why theres also a Mr Weaver with an acocunt at my address, told them he was my husband! Think, they suspected me of fraud again there. Even when my husband orders now they sometimes ring him to question him.

  • I just had a good experience after phoning DS - (thanks MP) - they hadn't applied the code, and on phoning, they applied the code for me, and said the amount (£25) would be credited to my account!

    Result!
    Is it payday yet?

  • I just used on the vouchers to buy a wii game. I inputted a 30pound of code correctly and then when i got to checkout it said voucher not available with credit cards. I then continued and entered by debit card details and proceeded to purchase. It registered on the site as 39.99 without any discount should the discount have been shown on the final page? Should i phone up CS to correct it or have i made a mistake somewhere along the line?

Some codes only available to account customers... if it says n/a to credit card it also means n/a to debit cards.

  • I have used some of the codes when paying by card it varies, but if it doesn't accept it before confirming order then go back to basket and try another one. I have only had luck with customer service when I have used a code it was showing at checkout but then wasn't applied when it came, then they honour it but if not showing at checkout they wont
