Vanquis offering Cashback Membership?

Hi, wasn't quite sure where to place this one but...

Just had a call from Vanquis (I have a credit card with them which I'm using to re-build my score) offering me a membership with Remember to Save (a cashback company). I've not taken them up on it yet as I wanted to do some research. The main point I heard was 6.99 a month after 30 day trial.

I can't find much online about them, there was an old thread on here which I found in a google search which wasn't positive.

Anyone heard of them? Sounds scammy to me - especially as I can't find them online.

They're not generally deals you'd recommend.

    I wouldn't touch it.

Presumably this is their website: https://www.remembertosave.co.uk/.

If what they offered was worth having I'm sure they'd be shouting about it from the rooftops, rather than hiding in the shadows.

They've also done their best to hide themselves from Google:

A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more.

    Simiar here: http://www.valuesaverclub.co.uk/.

What is it? Topcashback with a monthly fee?

I'm ingregued now. Still wouldn't touch it, though. :rotfl:

Ah, there's a thread about Value Saver Club here.

Vanquis a terrible for signing people up to things they don't need. They have me on some stupid PPI thing.

Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

Just keep using the card and switch to a better one when you can.

    Vanquis Repayment Option Plan (ROP)?

It's not the same as PPI and you would have opted in to it.

Unfortunately many Vanquis customers are so pleased to be given a chance to drink in the last chance saloon that they'd agree to anything during the welcome phone call.

    ROP can be cancelled. http://www.vanquis.co.uk/credit-cards/vanquis-repayment-option-plan:
You can opt-in to the Vanquis Repayment Option Plan at any time during your agreement, and you can opt-out at any time. We will offer you the opportunity to opt-in to the Plan from time to time or you can call us to opt-in.
