    Hey!

    My completely factual post got deleted without anybody contacting me.

    In case anybody missed it I pointed out the following truths:

    1. This is a completely unregulated investment which means that the people promoting it are able to make claims that would not be permitted for a regulated investment.
    2. Caravans depreciate. There is wear and tear and they get old and shoddy.
    3. The land on which these lodges sit is not owned by the investor.
    4. The guarantee of income is only good if the company providing the guarantee stays in business.
    5. There is no independent secondary market for these things. You cannot get your money back except by selling through the original vendors and if they have full price new units to sell why would they want to sell someone else's?

    Just my opinion: it's hard to see why anyone would risk losing tens of thousands in a totally unregulated scheme. Particularly when there are not just theoretical considerations but also practical examples that demonstrate how the funds invested depreciate dramatically.

    Looks like my post has been removed too - all I did was comment on the large number of results in a Google search that either highlight Dream Lodge being highly risky, and to avoid it.

    If you can't say anything nice about the Dream Lodge Group, best say nothing at all. Personally speaking, I've recommended them to every 80 year old I know (as per the original post.)
