Which energy supplier gives good service & answers the phone?

We’ve been very busy on our phone lines and we’re putting things in place to reduce the call waits, we’ve also changed our numbers from 0845 to 0345 this is a local rate number and it’s included in most call packages.
Has your son called us to get the account set up correctly to his start meter readings?
Your son can give you permission to speak on his behalf, when he calls us he just needs to let us know, that he’s happy for us to discuss his account with you and we’ll put a headline on his account.
If he registers to manage his account online, he can still get paper bills through the post, he can also give us readings and make a payment, it might be easier for him and saves him a phone call.
I’m sorry that it hasn’t been easy for him setting everything up, if he wants me to send a payment card out to him, please ask him to send me an email to the address in my profile with his account details.

If it is of interest I rang SSE mid morning today to discuss a bill and after passing the "press one for..." filter was answered in less than two minutes, which is how it should be in an ideal world. Also my query was dealt with efficiently too. Pity really, we were discussing the meter readings for my final bills as I am switching to a cheaper supplier, but would be happy to return to SSE if the numbers worked for me.
I post this in the interest of fairness as I have been on this forum a few times moaning about extended call waiting times.0
