Hi guys, I wonder if anyone can help me
I want to get the OH a radio for Christmas.. Not just any radio though. It needs to be a DAB but I also need it to play Medium Wave as his football team games are only broadcast on medium wave apparently.
I'd also like to be able to connect my iPhone to it so it can play my music too. I don't know if that means an auxiliary cable or a docking station.
Anyone know of any radios or suggestions on what would be suitable? Obviously cost is a factor here
Thank you

What stations are the football games broadcast on? Maybe you could get an internet radio that would cover those stations
I've got a Pure One Flow: http://www.pure.com/product/one-flow-vl-61558/
It connects to the net over wifi (means I can play music from my PC/Phone if they're on the same network using an app) for internet radio stations, it is DAB and FM. It has AUX IN so you could plug pretty much anything into it.
I bought it when the price dropped to £50 from John Lewis but the cheapest I can find it now is £65 from Debenhams - http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_315009103280MISC?CMP=SSH&tmcampid=28&tmad=c&sku=7078663&ci_sku=7078663&ci_src=18615224&gclid=Cj0KEQjw_byiBRCu9qm5lc28ufgBEiQAWq-ta8ERFjwxlCFynRfuQSnYs7yoeenZYLqbr-Z69k-s_rwaAjDp8P8HAQ
If you want me to check for a specific internet channel, just PM me.. i've got the radio playing infront of me0 -
I have never been able to find a DAB with AM.0

Hi
I've got the Pure Evoke Flow. It's similar to the Flow One but Listen Again can suddenly cut off: sometimes it comes back on, other times it doesn't.
What I like about the Evoke Flow is the thousands of worldwide internet radio stations/podcasts.
Are you referring to Radio FiveLive? It's on DAB and Internet Radio.Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -
Didn't even know that station exists OP (The one from the PM).. I've saved it on my favourites.
BTW, i found a DAB/FM/AM radio for £60 - http://www.hifi-tower.co.uk/Auna-Dabstar-DAB-/-DAB-plus-Digital-Clock-Radio-AM/FM-RDS-Alarm-Black_i16908.htm?gclid=Cj0KEQjw_byiBRCu9qm5lc28ufgBEiQAWq-tayln3vg0GxoLgjFYCq0lCl5IU6AALeSEwBZKlF2K2DAaAgZY8P8HAQ

BBC Three Counties (Beds, Bucks, Herts)

Unless you want to listen to the football ... as the OP asked
At 3pm on a Saturday on BBC Radio Stoke you get the following:-
Internet = a recorded message saying 'sorry, we can't bring you the football over the radio'
FM = Stoke City
AM = Port Vale
DAB = Crewe Alexandra0 -
