Thomson 56 days to reply

I wrote to Thomson to ask for compensation on the 21 Sept and have still not heard from them. I rang them today and they informed me they had 56 days by law to reply to me. Does anyone know if this is correct ? Thanks.

There is no 'law' stating 56 days (or any other number of days). They have as long as you are prepared to give them to let them drag their feet.

Send an NBA giving them 14 days to reply and then if you have not received a reply and believe you are due compensation then go to court.

Thompsons told me the same so I gave them more time for my tom2240 flight from man to palma in sept 2014. I have just recieved a cheque for the flight going out for £336.13 .
However I am still fighting for the return flight which was delayed longer tom2241 palma to manchester.
