Genuine Pre-Estimate of Loss. What you are hoping to see on the signs is that their fake fine is supposedly damages for breach of contract i.e. we're looking for words such as "breach" or "contravention".

For reference, his is a G24 sign at Wickes' not far from where the OP is, that I snapped earlier today - I've got an IAS appeal to submit in the next few days in relation to this.

    BREACH alert !!!!!!!

Oh, and report them to the BPA for mis-use of the BPA logo.

If your 'ticket' is from that car park then you might want to tell G24 the contract is null and void as the contract you entered into clearly shows the BPA as the association who's rules G24 follow and they have failed to provide a POPLA code.

OK, back to me, the original poster on this thread.
Coupon-mad helpfully said: "As far as IAS is concerned, for a new PPC just joined, signage is key so get pictures of the signs NOW.. You can beat this lot at IAS but will need to say the signs allege breach of contract and the charge was not a GPEOL. Pics of the signs will help. Did you give away who was driving in your first appeal? "

No, I didnt give away who was driving. What's a GPEOL? and what am I hoping to see on the signs?

    Thanks.

    Bob

Bob you really need to read the IAS Decisions thread and post #3 of the Newbies sticky thread (as well as the explanation of the forum acronyms which is right there in the same Newbies sticky thread). This is winnable but your questions suggest you've not got out of the starting traps yet. We'll help once you draft a decent IAS appeal like other newbies do, but we won't be writing the appeal for you and a normal appeal will LOSE!! So you do need to see some IAS cases and suss out the acronyms like 'GPEOL'. The sticky threads are at the top for a reason, for info, to help people win. Yet IAS appeals are not a cinch to win (NOT like POPLA) and you need to read other IAS cases quickly and see what's needed.

You only had 21 days all told to get a decent IAS appeal submitted (clock already ticking) and you need to show us the actual sign from the actual car park and look at the wording yourself. The words 'breach' or 'failure to comply' or 'contravening' are what you want to see.

Also, did the Notice to Keeper (PCN) talk about POPLA on the back, or not?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
