Just had a letter from TSB to advise that the 4 conditions required to get 5% will be applied from 31/1/2015.
1. Pay in £500 pm
2. Register for internet banking
3. sign up for paperless statements
4. sign up for paperless correspondence.
They said I'm not currently signed up for condition 4.
However, when I tried to sign up via "manage online paper preferences" I get
"There's a problem...
1600019 : Unfortunately there has been a technical problem. This transaction has not been completed."

Call them lol.
There obviously an error that only they can fix0 -
Try again later then. You've got plenty of time before 31/1/15. Anyway, those were always the conditions for receiving the interest; they've just not enforced them before.0

I have had exactly the same experience , however five minutes later I had an email confirming that the changes had gone through ok.0 -

Yes same situation exactly and same message here. Useless waste of time. Not easy to find either.0 -
I think that the TSB website is running glitchy today, it certainly is from a login point of view. I think, but am not 100% sure, that they were offline for some maintenance at the weekend. If this was the case then there's obviously some work still to do.0

I was wondering why the forum hadn't had a deluge of posts from people not receiving interest a few months ago when paperless correspondence was made available.0
-
I had exactly the same thing - I phoned them and they did say they are having some issues today, so best to try later on, or tomorrow.
I also then received the email (twice) although not convinced it has been changed, as it is still showing as paperless is off. I would advise checking back again to double check.0 -
My letter also said I hadn't signed up for paperless correspondence.
When I checked both my a/c's on line it said "paperless correspondence - YES" (& paperless statements, £500pm, internet banking, I've even got 1 d/d set up in both a/c's to scoop off the monthly interest)
No idea what they were playing at.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
I didnt get any interest last month because of this. Even though I switched to paperless before month end, they hold it against me because during the month I had it set otherwise?
Also I paid money in on friday and it says it wont clear till monday, just normal small cash transfer nationwide. The money will go back to nationwide and clear by saturday, so !!!!!!?0 -
If you mean you haven't been paid interest for the month of October, then nobody has as yet. It wont show until at least Monday which will be the forst working day after the month changes.0
