Suggestions on decent saucepans

I'm going to sound like a right cheapskate here, but we're uhm 'between' decent pan sets at the moment, & about 6-8 months ago there was a deal with the IKEA family card where you could go and claim a free pan (normally worth the earth shattering price of £1.99), and I swear it's like new and used almost every day. It's small, so I'd go for one of their bigger ones, but the non-stick is excellent, and it's even survived the transition from gas to electric hob. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing though.DS - 08/15

Stellar are my pans of choice. Fabulous quality and reasonably priced.0

I can't believe the price on those pans!!!!!!
Le Creuset are excellent though.
Pans are like anything, you can buy cheap pans and most people will be fine with this. However if your really into your cooking you need to spend serious cash to get the best. For anyone serious I'd recommend the following at a minimum:
A triply stainless steel frying/saut! pan. Get a good one at around £100.
A couple of copper saucepans, one fairly small and one larger. I'd recommend Falk.
A cast iron frying pan. You can get a decent one for about £30.
A wok. Don't spend more than a tenner.
A casserole dish. Nothing comes close to Le Creuset.
A large stockpot. Can go fairly cheap on this, stainless steel.
A non stick frying pan, again go cheap. If you look after it the cast iron pan will be just as non stick but its useful to have this as well.0 -
In addition to the Kirkland ones, my OH has reminded me we have most of the IKEA 365 stainless steel pans too. Probably cost more than the Kirkland set as bought individually, but all going strong 5 years on.
Even the 'sautuse' (frying pan with a lid to you and me) that OH decided to use to make homemade crumpets. The oil was welded on, it took boiling a tin of cheapie tomatoes in it to get it off! (No we didn't eat the tomatoes lol).0
