You have used the word fine, and form that I assume that you understand the huge difference between fines and private parking charge notices.

Just in case you dont it would be helpful if you provided the name of the issuing authority, or the private parking company that is anything but an authority.

and if it is a Private Parking Company (PPC) Ticket read the sticky thread at the top.

Its not a fine, and take a read of the sticky.
As it was a wedding reception I'm guessing that a reasonable amount of money changes hands.
Do not take your eye of any time schedules that parking eye will invent, however you should also complain strongly to the Hotel - that is if you were parked in the hotels car park and parking eye infest it.
Was this a pay and display car park? a free for X amount of time car park, or one where you have to hand over your number plate/reg to someone or something?

If you were paying the Adelphi money for the wedding reception, I'd be back there in a flash, demanding to see the manager and asking why they have allowed this agent of theirs to be hounding a genuine customer.

And wedding receptions are very pricey, so you won't have been paying over an inconsiderable amount.

The Adelphi has all the powers to get this charge removed, so press them. If you have no luck with that approach, then you could post a very 'nice' review on TripAdvisor informing any would-be wedding party of the likely reception they will be getting from ParkingEye. Cause just one potential party to go elsewhere and the Adelphi will have lost out on thousands.

In fact, regardless of your success or otherwise with the Adelphi, I think you should still post on TripAdvisor, so others don't get caught out on what should be an event of celebration, not misery.

You still need, in parallel, to continue reading the NEWBIES FAQ sticky and work through that.

The Adelphi is part of the Britannia Hotels group, which has just been designated as the worst hotel chain in the UK by Which? magazine. Says it all really!

No link as that wouldn't help you get good at forums!

But I will tell you how to find it easily yourself (as it's second from the top) just use the Forum Jump and click 'GO'.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well done on getting that cancelled - how did you get PE to drop the charge?

And in view of the Adelphi's lack of any customer concern or care, I'd be following the suggestion I made to you when you first posted - as below.
The Adelphi has all the powers to get this charge removed, so press them. If you have no luck with that approach, then you could post a very 'nice' review on TripAdvisor informing any would-be wedding party of the likely reception they will be getting from ParkingEye. In fact, regardless of your success or otherwise with the Adelphi, I think you should still post on TripAdvisor, so others don't get caught out on what should be an event of celebration, not misery.

And I'd write to the Adelphi as soon as you have it posted, pointing out to them the comments you've made and suggest they need to look after their customers far better in future.
