Shower gel as shampoo?

I'm trying to cut down on bottles in my bathroom. Is shower gel good to use as a shampoo? I use lynx and am a male with short hair. Or should I stick to shampoo? Any thoughts?

Worth a try, may make your scalp a bit dry though, and you,ll looklike you,ve got dandruff, and you,ll be cast out of society. I,ve been using Sanex on mine and think it,s drying my hair up so have bought shampoo, but I have long curly hair
