    Morning all,

Weather at the mo isn't too bad,not taken the hound out yet,I was helping DS2 get the children bathed and ready to go out. They've gone now so its quiet.Carolbee-I'm always shattered when they've gone :o We had a lovely night last night-the local cricket club held a Halloween party for the kids,it's only across the road from us.They really went to town with the decorations.DGD was a witch and DGS had a pirate babygro and hat, very cute. The 7 yr old from next door kept an eye on DGD,she was a bit overwhelmed at first but the music was loud.Pasties were included in the price so I didnt have to do tea,so a bit of moneysaving there.

Vets for lyla tomorrow, will ask about something to calm her,I've had an Adapti l diffuser plugged in for 2 weeks now but its not helping her,and she barked during the night about 3 times-I ended up sleeping downstairs as I didnt want her to wake the kids, her bark is LOUD :D In between that DGS cried on and off for an hour,DH had indigestion(the pasties no doubt) and was stood up for half an hour so am feeling rather tired this morning-yawn ;)

Think DH and I may have the cheapie italian lunch down the road,we hardly seem to have seen each other this week,he's been so busy on the house renovation. We'll see,I do have stuff in if we decide not.

Better go and get my dogwalking tackle on-have a good Sunday x

  • Morning all,

Bit dull here, pegged out the washing but not sure if it is going to rain or not. Ho, hum, will just have to wait and see.

Off to Dunelm Mill in a while as I want to get some fabric to cover my dining chairs with. Not much else planned for the day other than that.

Had an email from the site we store our caravan on telling us that Calor have recalled some of their Calor Lite bottles due to leakage. I know some of you have caravans, so if you don't know about it here is the link. http://www.calor.co.uk/recall We have one dodgy one as DH keeps a spare in the garage here but we still need to check the one on the caravan.

    Have a good Sunday :)

DH had chemo on Friday which he had been dreading but have convinced him to take meds properly and that seems to have helped.

We still have two weeks of treatment to go and have suggested that once he feels better we become more selfish and do at least a couple of things a week as a couple. DDs are all in their twenties and even with a couple of them at home we don't have to be here 24/7.

Cooking lunch for eight today as one dd has a friend over to help with her new house and another has come home with her fiance for the weekend. Managed to get beast cheeks from the local butcher so are having these slow cooked in casserole pot with roast potatoes, mixed veg and mashed carrot and turnip as well as small yorkies.

Spent a while choosing the prettiest egg as DH thought he could eat a boiled egg. A white egg cup with a brown speckled egg in it seemed to tempt his appetite :j

I think you should consider seeing the doctor too. Sorry to gang up on you.

    Hugs to all

We're back from the wedding, the bride looked beautiful, 5 bridemaids, big ones in navy, littlies in cream, plus one very small pageboy in the smallest dress suit complete with waistcoat & tie, that I've ever seen. The reception went off well, no one threw up & there were no punchups, what more could anyone want.
We had a lovely room & treated ourselves to a full cooked breakfast as the night in the hotel was the nearest thing we'll get to a holiday this year. MIL & SFIL had a lovely time & were very grateful for the room, MIL gave me a beautiful diamond ring, she wants to give things away before she dies, rather than her stuff being picked over afterwards.
We arrived home to a rapturous welcome from the dog I'm looking after over half term, he's now asleep on his bed, worn out from all the cuddles he received from DD & the DGC who looked after him last night whilst we were away.
Hugs to Elona, Molly, Hilly & anyone else in need. LW I hope you get another furry friend to stay soon.
    Welcome to the newbies
Tru, I felt sick for 3 or 4 days last week but it was like motion sickness, I put it down to an ear infection, but do get yourself checked out.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Mrs LW I'm so glad you found something to calm The Dockster a bit; funnily enough, I take a valerian tablet every night; it doesn't actually make me sleep unfortunately, but I'm not quite so climbing-the-wall-and-halfway-across-the-ceiling.:o

Rosyred I hope you can get something to calm Lyla.

Elona I think the idea of doing things as a couple a few times week is an excellent one; if DH has that to look forward to, hopefully it'll help. I'll send appetite vibes for him.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hi everyone,

    Welcome WanttobeSE.

I haven't had chance to post before because I've been busy cleaning and baking. I went through my supplies and found that I had some just out of date ground almonds, almost out of date dried cherries and a slightly soft lemon. I made a lemon drizzle cake, a bakewell sponge with blackberries and a cherry and chocolate loaf, hopefully it will be ok because the recipe called for fresh cherries. I feel as if I've earned my OS credentials today.

    Evening all,

late posting from me I'm afraid. Things haven't been too good at home, me and the hubby had an argument in the middle of the supermarket yesterday and carried on when we got home..... but its ok... verbally I gave as good as I got. :D

Youngest went clubbing on Friday night. Rolled in at 6am Saturday morning... the stink of booze was overpowering. 'Had a great time' he said, 'but couldn't do it too often, I don't think I could take the pace'.

    Roll on Monday.:T

    Have a good evening all.

It sounds like you could have a leak in your pipework :(

Had another lovely day at the zoo but it was bloomin' cold in the wind.
We all went this time including DS, DD and her BF, she used her complimentary tickets to get the boys in.
Took a packed lunch and had a tasty chicken stew that I prepared last night when we got home, only took half an hour including roasting some spuds :D

Still not caved and put the heating on yet though, but I was tempted to light the stove tonight, but after I had a warm shower and got into my jammies, big snuggly dressing gown and slippers I felt nice and toasty.

Hester, glad the wedding went well

    Judi :( kick his butt

MrsL glad that you have found something to keep Docky calm x

Elona ((Hugs)) for you both, I think that making time for eachother is a wonderful idea x

Fine thanks. It wasn't a scene or anything, just a few choice words that carried back to home.:(
