we took my 7 yr old and an 8 yr old friend to see Box trolls and they both loved it. Good triumphs so all is well...and I loved it too.0

I took my children and two friends to see Boxtrolls for eldests 10th birthday. I sat thinking what a load of rubbish, the children all loved it.
We often do the sat morning viewings which are really cheap, worth it if you haven't seen the sat film.0 -
I took my daughter (7) to see the Box Troll after weeks of pestering.
She loved it, yes there were bits where she hid, but overall loved it. She's not all interested in Book of Life.
The next film she wants to see is Paddington, it was one of the trailers, she was nearly crying with laughter at it.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Well we went to see Book of Life in the end. The animation was stunning and the story was fun. My daughter liked it and my son said it was "ok". The trailer for Paddington Bear was hilarious so I think that's the Christmas hols sorted...0

The Book of Life was great, my 6yo son loved it. Great message and very positive. He loved all the singing too.
Boxtrolls was also good, just very different. Again, a positive message for the children.0 -
Boxtrolls was passable as an adult. Wasn't as good as many of them but the wee one enjoyed it.
Can't see them being disappointed at all. It's just a very obvious story I thought.
It is all about how good dads need to be though so my only thought was it might not be great for kids who unfortunately have an absent father. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
We saw Ninja Turtles in Vietnam in August.
I absolutely loved it! Didn't think I would. Suitably cheesy, with lots of adult jokes in there which went over my kids ears.
(probably shouldn't tell you it cost £3.50 for the 3 of us including cokes and a large bucket of popcorn...)Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Oh don't talk to me about cost. Cinema tickets came to £30, pizza lunch was another £35, and parking was £9.
Must think of cheaper activities for the rest of half term...0
