You're paying £1 a month. If they're still charging you interest, your debt will keep going up and up and up with them, and it's not "wasted" money at all, it's £1 on a £2000 debt.My current agreement is to pay £1.00 per month (thats all I can afford to pay towards this) Ive been paying KPR money for 4 years, they barley hassle me now. feels like Iam flushing money down the toilet because I am sure this is just interest iam paying.
Any suggestions on how to get this debt removed.
The default will drop off your credit file 6 years from the date of the default. This does not mean you can stop paying them, it only becomes statute barred 6 years after you last made a payment towards/acknowledged the debt, within those 6 years they can obtain a CCJ against you to pay instantly.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0
