What's the "Worse Case" if you just show up in the airport and then whoever is in the desk will tell you if this is a problem or not? I'm sure they can fix it in the desk, isn't it?

This is exactly what happened to us. We noticed as we got to the airport of a mistake in the name of my then partner, one letter being a d rather than a t. We were really worried but played dump and sure enough, they didn't even notice and we went through without questions!

Yes, exactly what I was referring to. Just play it dumb.

To keep it basic, what are they looking to change? Their name on the booking. So that'll be... a name change.
Also, why shouldn't it cost a dime? If the T&Cs say that there's a fee for changing details or that details can't be amended once booked, then that's that.

From what the airline have said and from their T&Cs this will be an expensive mistake.
Unfortunately when you make mistakes, you usually need to pay for them to be fixed.

The worse case is having to buy a new ticket, which on the day of travel is likely to be very expensive.

further comment would seem to be complete conjecture until the OP returns and answers post #9.
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

Once again ... it's based on what Richard said in post #9. If it's a misspelling then it shouldn't cost anything, but if this is something else then that's a name change and this is where the policy might be expensive indeed.

Even if a simple misspelling there will be an administration fee charged, and if left until the airport they may well refuse to do it due to the OP booking through an agent.

I'm pleased to see your offensive comments were promptly removed by the forum team. If something gets you so unduly worked up perhaps it's time to take a break ;)

You are incorrect, Emirates charge £35 to correct a misspelling, they will not allow a non refundable ticket to be reissued to a completely different passenger.

It's not just a simple matter of changing the name on the ticket, the ticket will need to be cancelled and another issued in the correct name.

Okay, so can you explain post #13 above? It doesn't sit right with your educated theories.
