Make sure you head straight to US immigration when you hit Dublin as last August it took us 90 minutes to get through it and there were plenty of people in the queue who were worried about missing their flight as it was taking so long.

It may have been a bad day, but I wouldn't want to risk leaving it to the last minute if I was flying through Dublin in August in the future

It's been said by others but set up fare alerts on Kayak. And the big BA and Virgin sales over Christmas/New Year also tend to bring down prices on the other carriers to remain competitive.

I'd also echo the comments about not getting hung up by airline. Economy service over the atlantic is much of a muchness really. Pick the airline that offers you the best balance of price and schedule convinient to you.

I live in NI so timing won't be a problem. Thanks for the heads up though Had planned to arrive at airport 3 hours before departure.
