I am sorry but I disagree. Technically, the Anglian product is mediocre, and many are blatantly sub standard compared to what can be purchased at wholesalers.
The fitting can be acceptable, but it is never good. Most fitting is sub standard because the fitters are not paid enough money to do a proper job.
The Anglian priority is comission, and not the standard of the product, nor the fitting.
I'll second that.
Moved into a property and previous owner had some Anglian windows fitted. Bought another from an independent who refered to the window as frm his cheap range, which he had fitted to his own house. Once installed the quality and finish is way above the Anglian.0 -
I had a cold call from Anglian last night, as they saw I had scaffolding up and a couple of windows boarded-over.
The man had a nice glistening earring, while his lady assistant just giggled, and neither looked long out of school. I wondered if they wanted to bid against the quotes I'd already had from 3 local companies, but they soon bid a hasty retreat.
We visited the Homebuilding and Renovating Show last year. The one stand I didn't look at was Anglian, but there were plenty of reputable firms represented. The lectures I went to were basic, but a fair introduction to the subjects.
If you are reasonably intelligent you can visit these shows for free and have an interesting and useful day out without being ripped-off.
You will be bombarded with emails thereafter, but that's what spam filters are for, isn't it?0 -

In agreement, the fitters sometimes have to travel 3-4hrs, do a days work, then travel home, I know fitters who have worked for all of the big nationals, simple case of get the job done as quick as poss and get home, especially if there's a long journey involved0 -
Hi,
We'd like to look into this further as our sealed units are made in the factory, where the gas is put in.
If you could post your contract number on this forum, I can get this looked into.
Many thanks
