Car accident advice needed...

I would like some advice if possible.
My boyfriend has had a car accident in his works car park this week & I just want a general opinion with who is at fault.
He was going out at dinner time, he reversed our of his car park spot, turned his car around & was just proceeding (bearing right) to the exit, still in 1st gear crawling at approx 5mph, a delivery lady has cut off a corner driving over empty car parking spaces heading towards where my boyfriend was leaving from on his side of the car park and crashed into him with the full front of her vehicle into his passenger side door & front wing of car. He had to get his car towed away as it wasn't driveable her front bumper fell off and the bonnet was shunted but she drove hers away. She admitted liability and handed him over all her details. She was spotted by a co-worker on her mobile also, and was going very fast for a car park. The whole thing has been caught from 2 angles on CCTV. Which way is an insurance company likely to see this as it was in a car park with no white lines, she is now no longer admitting liability, & my boyfriend doesn't want to end up paying his excess for this that was out of his control. Thanks in advance!

I'd say she T boned him so she's at fault. Unless he's cut her up, which seems unlikely at 5mph.
Send a copy of the cctv to the insurance for them to decide as opinions on here don't count.0 -
Thanks for this, he's emailed it to his insurance today so fingers x'd! I just wanted a general opinion as its frustrating waiting for insurance to get back to you, i'm hoping they don't go for an easy 50/50.0

Yep you have the evidence, let them duke it out.
I'd forget the 5mph bit though as that's almost impossible to do unless the car is an auto and moving along at idle. A lot of non-digital speedos don't even read that low.
1st gear, moving slowly will cover it. Better than approximations. It'll be clear from the CCTV anyway.
Good luck. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
Thank You - I just said 5mph on this post just to get the image of 'crawling' speed, he'd literally traveled 5 metres or so before she hit him so was impossible to gather any kind of speed up.0

He's just pulled off, were there any vehicles parked in the bay's blocking either drivers view?0

Its hard to explain she was around the corner to the left, has cut the corner short driving over marked out empty car parking spaces he was just setting off towards the exit of the car park. I can try send you an image unsure if I can attach one onto here...0

Her argument will be, she was already in the process of doing this when your bf pulled into her path. Yes she should have been able to stop, but he pulled into her gap.0

To be honest this sounds like one of those where a drawing/ picture speaks a thousand words.
Get a copy of the CCTV ASAP as companies dont tend to keep them too long before recording over them.0 -
OK thanks, so it could go 50/50. I hope not! Fingers x'd the CCTV proves something!0

My bf has emailed CCTV to his insurance this dinner time. So I have everything crossed for him!0
