Been to Devon Cliffs several time and loved it... if it has one failing is that its HUGE.... depending on where about your caravan is can be a long walk to the shops, pool, beach, entertainment ect.... but they do have a landtrain that runs around the camp all day long..

Its quite near to Exmouth and Exeter and buses run from the park every hour... the beach is fabulous lovely and sandy and the sea is clean... the 3 swimming pools are fabulous especially the outdoor ones... lots of different eateries , fish and chips, chinese and a bakery onsite also a small supermart..

It is my grandkids favourite holiday park as there is just so much to do. Not sure about the entertainment side as we generally give that a miss and create our own entertainment or go for long walks in the evening... have fun ......

Yes they are all located together. I've been twice and I've not been particularly far away. I guess it's what 'far' means to you. It's all on hills so whilst it may not be that far, it might feel it! The nearer you are, the more noise you will hear from the disco at night, I think.

I admit that I haven't used the evening entertainment either; to be entirely honest, the people there aren't my sort of people (they're not rough or anyhting though!) and they smoke a lot (which they can't now though, obviously).

You get to park next to your caravan so if anything is that far you could always drive. I admit to cheating and driving to the beach this year - that is an uphill slog all the way home with a pushchair! You don't need to be that near to the complex - you don't want to be there all the time, you make a lot of your own entertainment :). Don't shop at the shop, it's expensive, full of junk food mainly and there's a huge Tesco a five minute drive away in the direction of Buddleigh Salterton ;)

It is a really good complex, I think it's Haven's flagship actually. We'll be going back again.

  • We went a few years ago, and it's a really nice. It is huge, and your accomodation can be quite a walk (ours was!) from the shops, entertainment, etc, but we found it was ideal because it was far quieter at night. There were small groups of teenagers hanging around near the centre of the complex when we were there, that tended to get a bit loud and silly, but other than that we enjoyed it.
The local beach and seafront at Exmouth were really nice too. Lots for the kids to do.

We were at Devon Cliffs the first week in June.

The park is huge - the biggest we have been to. The pools are great and there are several places to eat out at (including Burger King - although we managed to avoid that one!).

The bus stop is just outside the entertainment complex and I think there is one at Sandy Bay which is the beach at the park. You can however walk to Exmouth either along the beach or the coastal path just above the beach. You can also walk to Budleigh Salterton along the coastal path - we did this one day and it's a nice walk. We did get the bus back though as the kids were flagging!

The entertainment in the evenings was for us disappointing. The first thing was that if you want a seat for the evneing you have to get there very early. And when you do get a seat you are there for the foreseable future as getting out is a mammoth task:mad: The seats were so close to each other I had to climb on the seats to get out to go to the bar or toilets. It was very uncomfortable for this reason.

We did enjoy our stay at the park overall - it's clean, has all the facilities you need and is located in a lovely area with great views.

Remeber to get your tenner back for the bed linen at the end of the hols as well;)

I've seen the bus a lot when we've been there. It must be very frequent as I have no need to use public transport, so barely notice it :o
