Using mobile Internet in phone abroad

Going to the canaries on Saturday for a week.
Daughter has unlimited Internet on her phone with Three. But can this be used abroad?

I will try and get in touch with them tomorrow, but unti then, u thought I'd ask here.

You are correct the Canary Islands are not part of the "Feel at Home" plan which allows you to use your minutes abroad.

Local SIMs are cheap enough. Just make sure that her phone is unlocked.

Might be worth investing in a MIFI unit that works globally. They vary in price but are easy to use without changing SIM in your phone. All the family can connect (like a WiFi hotspot). You can use it for future holidays too! I use one that is 9p per MG in Europe and maximum 29p per MG worldwide - not bad when you consider O2 will charge £6 per MG outside Europe.
